Sim Racing Series

Need something to get your racing fix this winter without freezing your butt off? Get involved with the DMS Winter Sim Racing Series! Race from the comfort of your home against other local drivers, using cars similar to what you've seen out at the events this year!

9 official races are held from December to April on select Thursday evenings using the game Assetto Corsa. Each race earns you points towards the DMS Sim Racing Championship! Top 3 win a Trophy & credit to use towards the 2025 DMS Time Trial events out at Stratotech Raceway.

A fancy sim rig & the latest high end gaming computer are not needed! Low budget & older equipment are more than adequate to get involved. This series is based on being beginner friendly so anyone can get involved.

Requirements

Have previously or are interested in competing in the DMS Time Trial Competitions at Stratotech Raceway
A computer that is connected to the internet
The Steam app installed onto your computer for game purchase & installation
The game Assetto Corsa purchased & installed

Open Practice Session

Starts 2 weeks before race day

Race Day

6:30pm - 8pm - Warm Up/Log-in
8:00 pm - Qualifying
8:15 pm - Race - (25 min Approx.)

How To Join A Race or Practice Session

Type in "DMS" into search bar within the online part of the game
Select the DMS server from the list
Enter password "dms" to join

Rules

Must put down 3 successive clean laps during the open practice session within 2 weeks of Race Day to be eligible for the race
Must login & put down a few laps in the warm up session before qualifying starts on race day.
Drivers that purposely crash out others will be DQ'd & banned
Which ever car each drivers use for the first race, is the one they must remain with for the entire series
Setup adjustment are allowed

Cars

Drivers select one car to use for the race season. Performance of faster cars is balanced out by in game Ballast & Restrictors.

DMS Sim Racing Championship (A.K.A Sport Class Championship)

Starts on the December 5th race & ends on the April 3rd race. Fishing position is based on your best 6 out of 9 races. Points are awarded based on your finishing position:

1st - 20 points
2nd - 17 points
3rd - 15 points
4th - 13 points
5th - 11 points
6th - 10 points
7th - 9 points
8th - 8 points
9th - 7 points
10th - 6 point
11th - 5 points
12th - 4 points
13th - 3 points
14th - 2 points
15th - 1 point

Awards

Top 3 in the DMS Sim Racing Championship win a Trophy & a credit to use towards any 2025 DMS Time Trial Competition.

1st - Trophy + $200 Credit
2nd - Trophy + $100 Credit
3rd - Trophy + $50 Credit

DMS DTM Championship

Want to race even more? There is an additional DTM Championship based on 90's DTM series. This runs on opposite Thursdays of the main championship series. This is all for fun & bragging rights! More info is available under the #info section on Discord.
