DMS Sim Racing Series
That's right DMS racing is going virtual for the off season! Now you can race from the comfort of your home against the same people you hung out with at the events this year. Keep your skills (and excuses) sharp until the start of the 2025 season of DMS Time Trial Competitions!
This online racing series is meant to be beginner friendly & easy to get involved in.
Now lets go over the details.
There will be 9 races, starting in December & ending in April. Races will be held twice a month on select Thursday evenings. The series is limited to the first 20 to register! The Top 3 that score the most points by the end of the season will win a Trophy & receive a credit to use towards the 2025 DMS Time Trial events. The Championship is scored based on your top 6 finishes out of 9 races. If you miss a race or 2 you will still have a chance at winning the Championship!
DMS Sim Racing Championship Awards
1st - Trophy + $200 Credit
2nd - Trophy + $100 Credit
3rd - Trophy + $50 Credit
Races are held on the game Assetto Corsa, an older but still relevant sim racing game that most people already have. Each race is held on a different track. To keep it simple, the tracks we are using are already included in the base game. For the last few races we may use additional downloaded tracks. An easy to follow step by step guide has been made if you are unsure of how to download & add new tracks to the game.
5 closely matched cars were chosen to use for the series. Each has its strengths and weaknesses. All cars except 1 have very limited suspension & tuning options, once again to keep it simple. The Toyota AE86 Drift is the wild card option for those that want a challenge & like to have the extra tuning options to play with. All cars are already included in the base game, no extra downloading & installing is required! One catch here, whichever car you pick is the one you have to use for the season. Choose wisely!

What do you need to get involved?
A Computer with the Steam app installed on it
The game Assetto Corsa purchased & installed through Steam
The Discord App installed (for communication & general BSing)
Have previously or are interested in competing in the DMS Time Trial Competitions at Stratotech Raceway
Assetto Corsa is an older game (2014), so you do not need the latest or fastest gaming computer to run it. A basic steering wheel & pedal setup is recommended, nothing overly fancy is needed.
You will have to register online to be a part of the series. To do so you will need to have a Steam account & a Discord account setup beforehand. All very easy to do. Navigate to the Sim Racing Page on this site & click on the blue "Register" Button. Once you register go back & click on the Join Discord to get all setup!
Now get signed up, pick a car & start practicing for the first race on December 5th! Spots are limited!
