Step-by-Step Guide to Installing downloaded Tracks & Cars

For Tracks:

1. Download the Track 

   • Find a track you want to download

   • Download the file, usually in a .zip or .rar format.

2. Extract the Files:

   • Use a program like WinRAR or 7-Zip to extract the downloaded archive.

   • Inside, you should find a folder with the track's name and various files and subfolders.

3. Locate the Assetto Corsa Directory Folder:

   • Go to your Steam library, right-click on Assetto Corsa, and select "Properties."

   • Click on "Local Files" and then "Browse Local Files." This will open the Assetto Corsa directory folder.

   • Or from file explorer copy & paste                                                     C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa

4. Find the Tracks Folder:

   • Inside the Assetto Corsa directory, open the content folder.

   • Then, open the Tracks folder.

5. Install the Track:

   • Copy the extracted track folder (the one with the track files) into the tracks folder.

6. Launch Assetto Corsa:

   • Start the game and go to the “Drive” menu.

   • Select the track from the list under “Locations.”

7. Enjoy the Track:

   • Once loaded, you should be able to race on the newly installed track!

Troubleshooting Tips

• If the track doesn't show up, double-check that the folder structure is correct and that the track folder is placed in the tracks directory.​

• Ensure you have all necessary dependencies if the track requires specific cars or additional content.

For Cars:

​

1. Download the Car Mod:

   • Find a car mod you want to install

   • Download the file, usually in a .zip or .rar format.

2. Extract the Files:

   • Use a file extraction tool like WinRAR or 7-Zip to extract the downloaded file.

   • After extraction, you should see a folder containing the car's files.

3. Locate the Assetto Corsa Directory Folder:

   • Go to your Steam library, right-click on Assetto Corsa, and select "Properties."

   • Click on "Local Files" and then "Browse Local Files." This will open the Assetto Corsa directory folder.

   • Or from file explorer copy & paste                                                     C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa

4. Find the Cars Folder:

   • Inside the Assetto Corsa directory, open the content folder.

   • Then, open the cars folder.

5. Copy the Car Folder:

   • Copy the entire extracted folder (the one containing car files) into the cars folder.

6. Check Installation:

   • Open Assetto Corsa and go to the Car Selection menu.

   • You should see the new car listed there.

7. Enjoy the Ride:

   • Select the car and start a race or practice session to test it out!
